Full Rider and Messaging Intern
Who am I? That’s a difficult question for me, almost as difficult to answer as “where are you from?” I was born in Nampa, Idaho, raised in Daejeon, South Korea, and my family lives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Culture has shaped my identity ever since I was a wee lad. Another thing that has shaped my story is being creative. Also since I was a wee lad, I have had a passion for creating things to help people. Currently, I study at Northwest Nazarene University and am in my third year seeking a degree in Graphic Design. After several opportunities to participate in mission trips, with KIMs in the Philippines and YiM in Canada, I feel a tug on my heart to pursue church and mission related design work. When I caught wind of Pedal to Plant, it immediately took hold of my imagination. My part to play is the most fun, I think! I will be work alongside Trevor Allen, Extreme’s Messaging Manager, to document and spread the word about the progress of Pedal to Plant. This will include graphic design work, as well as photography, videography, social media marketing, and whatever else is deemed most effective! I will also run sound for the worship team. This unique and radical commitment to honor God through worship, design, exercise, and outreach is once in a lifetime. I get goosebumps thinking about all that He is going to do, and how much I am going to be stretched. This is an excellent opportunity to partner with an organization that takes discipleship seriously; to form daily habits that will affect a lifelong journey. With the “five loaves and two fish” I have been given, I eagerly offer my gifts and anticipate all that will come of this trip. So who am I? I am stoked to be part of, and contribute to, such an amazing, God-honoring team!
